In the course of my relationship-building online, I’ve noticed that my food posts get a lot of attention. See, I’m a closet foodie. Food and wine are passions of mine, and whipping up wonderful meals is a creative outlet for me. My husband and kids usually like those meals, too. While we are no strangers to the typically American mac & cheese and chicken nuggets (I have 3 kids, after all), you’ll just as easily find southwestern bean dishes, asian sushi rolls, Italian creations, and more on our table. In an effort to be frugal, I try to keep the meat to a minimum and enhance our dishes with legumes, veggies, and more. The results are delicious!
Recently I’ve given up wheat and refined sugar, and am slowly adding meals that reflect these choices to my family’s diet as well. The new focus of this blog will explore new staples and healthy meals that avoid wheat and refined sugar.
I find myself sharing recipes through my Facebook profile all the time, and I finally decided it was about time for me to centralize my efforts so that all my food-loving friends could sample my recipes. I hope that you’ll share your favorites too!
